The new Garda Headquarter project comprised of the demolition of the existing buildings on site and the construction of a new three storey 1250 m² headquarters building plus a garage, an exhibit store building, external store, ESB sub station and associated site works including car parking, landscaping and extensive public road works. M&E and lift installations and sustainable energy solutions such as solar roof panels were incorporated.

A roof-lit atrium was provided at the junction between the front and rear blocks. Interview rooms are located at ground floor within the rear block and in close proximity to the charging hatch, juvenile detention room and three cells. Office accommodation, the parade room, changing facilities and a gymnasium are located on the first floor.
