Design Team: Steven Quinn Architectural Design, Ballyshannon
The Breezy Centre project consisted of a new two storey construction of a Community Centre including a 360m² sports hall; a commercial kitchen and dining room; two recreation rooms; dormitories to sleep 22 persons; a large communal sitting room; 3 No. meeting rooms; toilets; an administration office and a 4G playing field 30m x 25m including perimeter fencing.
The project was constructed on an extremely difficult site and involved cutting out rock for the foundations, drains and services. Constructed in part with a steel frame & solid rising concrete block work; slated roofs; PVC windows and hardwood doors; M&E and Lift installation; floor coverings were provided including maple to the Sports Hall. The contract included decoration and fitted furniture and associated site works with soft and hard landscaping.
